I decided to glitz up items I am selling on ebay to make them feel like christmas gift ideas by using mottled flint I had used in a previous shoot. The purple and blue stones really bring out the shine and lustre in products and I hope will help my ebay items to sell. These were just shot with my iphone so not great quality, but still shows the christmas gifting style that i achieved from shooting on the flint background. Working with a photographer I art directed 3 shoots to display different segmentations of christmas gifts. Up to £100, up to £250 and up to £500. Up to £100 included stocking fillers surrounded by glass baubles & fairy lights to create a cold but magical scene. Thistles covered in colourful sparkly jewels were used for the up to £250 shoot, really making the jewellery feel luxe and giving it that raw christmas edge. Product filled the up to £500 shoot, layered on purple mottled flint to give the impression that the gifts had all been opened. The mottled flint was great to shoot as it really made the flooring look like it was glistening with crystals.
To celebrate the birth of the potential future King, I have experimented creating some typography options for cards.
The first is inspired by Neville Brody’s idea of running type. I love type that falls off the page but still enables you to clearly read what it says. Its fun, modern and this particular style has a more street feel. Not ideal for the royals but a more ‘Keep calm and carry on’ version.
The second features baby blue colours. Its not so heavy with just a baby blue outline. The font is still strong, but its not as noticeable with just the outline. It feels softer and the gold crown makes it more playful and young.
Emails I designed for my-wardrobe. (This was never sent out in the end, due to a decision not to go ahead with the offer)
